The best International Delight coffee creamer flavors bring something special to your coffee—whether that’s a boldly sweet, dessert-adjacent flavor or just a smooth, creamy sip. In one of the worst caffeine crazes of my life, I sat down with my colleague Jordan Myrick to taste test over a dozen ID flavors and rank them appropriately. It’s a miracle I’m still alive, but it had to be done.
Your favorite coffee creamer can say a lot about you. The pumpkin spice girlies? They stopped caring about what other people think of them circa 2019. Hazelnut lovers? Some of the most indecisive people on the planet. Anyone who regularly orders a peppermint mocha? You cannot tolerate any temperature above 75 degrees fahrenheit, and you will frequently complain about it to everyone around you. And look, I’m not here to make fairly baseless (but accurate) judgments about your character based on what flavor of creamer you prefer. My sole purpose today is to rank the best International Delight flavors. But I’m a multitasker. As the youths these days say, I’m going to read you to filth anyway.
For this taste test, we looked for coffee creamers that carry a rich yet balanced sweetness. They should be smooth and indulgent, but not a sugar bomb. If they advertise chocolate, we want to taste chocolate. If they’re zero sugar, well, that sucralose better disguise itself well. We poured all of these International Delight flavors into individual, medium-roast coffee servings—and even tried them on their own to get a sense of their pure, unadulterated flavor nuances. So without further ado, here’s our current ranking of the best International Delight coffee creamers.

- Irish Creme
-
You probably won’t reach for International Delight’s Irish Creme creamer every single morning. It’s more of an occasional indulgence, a fun spin on your morning routine. The flavor carries a hint of dark chocolate and the essence of Baileys. It actually smells more like Irish cream liqueur than anything else; the actual malty flavor of whiskey is very subtle. If you are the rare individual who not only thinks this is the best International Delight coffee creamer, but also drinks it regularly, know this: I’m afraid of you. So are other people, whether you realize it or not. And that’s a compliment.

- Zero Sugar Caramel Macchiato
-
Compared to other sugar-free International Delight flavors we tried, this one is a dream. Unless you’re trying them against regular ID creamers like us, you probably won’t immediately suss out the artificial sweetener. It’s noticeable after a few sips, but it’s really not that bad. The warm caramel adds great (and much-needed) richness. It’s not as full-bodied as the regular version, but this is the best International Delight flavor for anyone going sugar-free.

- French Vanilla
-
If vanilla is your go-to creamer, normally I’d peg you as someone with control issues. (Same, bestie.) But International Delight’s French vanilla is so potently rich, sweet, and creamy, I actually think it’s a control freak’s nightmare. (I blame the French; they’re too laissez faire.) That sweet vanilla is like a blunt punch to your taste buds. If this is what you normally buy, I’m in awe of you. You attack problems head-on, strategy or no strategy.

- Hazelnut
-
This hazelnut creamer is simple but versatile. It’s the best International Delight creamer for people who still want to enjoy the taste of their own coffee. If you add a splash or two, the nuttiness will enhance the depth of your brow, but you’ll barely notice it otherwise. But if you add a decent amount, then bam—it’s boldly sweet, with a roasty, toasty hazelnut flavor in every sip. And like I’ve already said, it’s perfect for indecisive buyers (me) with commitment issues (me) who spend ten minutes staring at the creamer aisle only to panic and grab the same thing every time (you guessed it…me).

- Almond Cherry Macaron
-
Formerly known as “Amaretto” (which they discontinued and rebranded), International Delight’s Almond Cherry Macaron tastes like the fruity, nutty Italian liqueur it was originally named after… and not like a macaron in the slightest. But hey, that’s okay. When you pop the lid of the creamer, don’t be fooled by the smell of artificial fruit. The cherry is really quite nice and not medicinal at all—and that’s coming from someone who rarely enjoys fruity coffees. If you want something different, refined, and unique, this is the best International Delight coffee creamer to pick up. If this is already your favorite, I’m not sure what it says about you other than you have great taste and, er, perhaps dabble in the fine arts? Tell me if I’m wrong in the comments…

- Sweet & Creamy
-
I can’t decide if International Delight’s Sweet & Creamy is like the very first sip of a hot latte with whipped cream on top, or the midpoint through said latte, when the whipped cream has already melted and infused beautifully into the drink. Regardless, whatever mysterious ingredients go into “sweet cream” coffee creamers like this, this flavor has universal likability, just like the people who drink it often. (Though they should get out of their comfort zones every once in a while.) I have to acknowledge that ID’s version did not make the cut for our favorite sweet cream coffee creamers—but for you brand loyalists, it’s still one of the best International Delight coffee creamers you can buy.

- Southern Butter Pecan
-
Southern Butter Pecan tastes like a cozy, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth pecan pie filling in coffee form. It actually really reminds me of Dunkin’s butter pecan coffee, which is the best endorsement I can probably give for this creamer. The butter lends a slippery texture that makes it slightly less thick than the other ID flavors, in case that’s a plus for you. If this is the bestInternational Delight creamer in your opinion, you must be a relatively happy person who likes nature, sunrises, and the simple comforts in life. In fact, I’d wager you could probably identify several local species of bird. No follow-up questions, please.

- Caramel Macchiato
-
There’s something soft, sweet, yet inherently masculine about caramel macchiato. And rich. Really rich. If you think caramel macchiato is the best International Delight flavor, you’re probably an established, well-read, well-off man with a deep, gravelly voice and a lot of cashmere sweaters, and I want to date you. (Not for the wealth. I just love a man in a sweater.) (Okay maybe also for the wealth.) The warm caramel has a bold, cozy depth of flavor that really makes it stand out. No contest—this is peak International Delight.
