Last month, Faygo revealed that two brand new flavors were joining their lineup: Bubble Pop, a bubblegum flavored pop, and Super Pop, a pop that claims to be Superman ice cream flavored. Immediately I knew what I had to do and I jumped in the car and made an hour plus trek up to Michigan to hunt for these new flavors.

I am a huge fan of anything and everything Faygo. Growing up in Ohio meant that it was a part of every barbecue, every birthday party, every major life event that involved food. So any time I have an opportunity to talk about one of my favorite brands, I am absolutely over the moon. So let’s pop these new Faygo flavors open and see how they stack up!

Faygo Super Pop

New Faygo Flavor!

Faygo Super Pop

Pros: Wow, what a wave of nostalgia. Even just cracking the pop open, I am immediately greeted by the unmistaken smell of Superman Ice Cream that takes me directly back to my childhood. I get notes of black cherry, Blue Moon, and vanilla. I am very surprised how accurate this is to Superman ice cream—delightfully surprised. This is one of my new favorite Faygo flavors (which is saying quite a lot!).

Cons: If you don’t do sweet, this might not be for you. As you may have guessed, it is INCREDIBLY sweet. I don’t know if I would be able to drink a 20oz bottle all in one sitting. It is absolutely delicious, but I feel like I’ve got to pace myself with this one.

Faygo Bubble Pop

New Faygo Flavor!

Faygo Bubble Pop

Pros: This new Faygo flavor tastes exactly like I just chewed a bunch of Bazooka Bubblegum—right down to the slightly chalky quality that classic bubblegum has. (That is absolutely a pro and not a con.) As much as I expected this one to be too sweet, I think Bubble Pop manages to be the perfect level of sweetness without overdoing it. I am absolutely blown away by how accurate this is. It literally just tastes like Faygo has liquified bubblegum and bottled it up for our enjoyment.

Cons: Folks, I’m struggling to come up with a con here. I think Faygo has really done something magic with Bubble Pop. If you live in an area that sells Faygo (they have a locator if you are not sure) or if you feel adventurous and want to snag a case off their website, I cannot recommend both of these flavors enough.
