If you’re planning a big summer party (or three) and need some inspo, the beauty of walking through the aisles of your local Dollar Tree is that you can let your heart and the products guide you. A summer party could take shape in a number of ways, but I started to notice a theme as I was looking at what Dollar Tree has to offer: movie night! Summer was made for movies and snacks. You can watch one outside under the stars or cuddle up inside if you want to get away from the skeeters. Let me show you what I found at Dollar Tree that you should grab for your next summer movie night!
- Brim’s Movie Theater Butter Flavored Popcorn
-
What summer movie night would be complete without popcorn? Not a one! There are tons of options to choose from at Dollar Tree. You can get bags for the microwave, caramel corn, even Cracker Jacks. You don’t even need a microwave to enjoy this popcorn. Just eat it straight from the bag or buy a cute popcorn tub to really complete the theme.

- Marshmallow Swirls Candy
-
Any good summer movie night needs a s’mores break. And you best believe we’re having fun with our marshmallow selection for the occasion. These birthday cake-flavored, unicorn poop-shaped marshmallows from Dollar Tree are about as fun as you can get. I do think the birthday cake flavor really would work well in a s’more. Stuck inside? Don’t worry, Rhett & Link found the perfect product for you. Just keep an eye out for any boxes flying your way!

- Mike and Ike Strawberry & Lemon Cotton Candy
-
Many stores have cotton candy, sure. But Dollar Tree has Mike and Ike cotton candy. They’re just quirky like that. Cotton candy is usually reserved for fairs and those cool self-making machines they have in malls. But who says we can’t bring the fun home? Throw a bag in your cart and rip it open the next time you’re on your umpteenth rewatch of The Parent Trap.
- Kool-Aid Popping Candy
-
Of course we need to get some candy from Dollar Tree for the movies! Though this bag of popping candy may be frowned upon for a quiet theater experience, our summer movie night is a little more relaxed. My favorite thing about this bag is that it includes three flavors—tropical punch, cherry, and grape—but for some reason they put four pouches in each bag. So please buy this and report back with which flavor gets twice the representation.
- WarHeads Galactic Mix Sour Cubes
-
If you want some boxed candy for your summer movie night, Dollar Tree has you covered on that front, too. There’s a big wall of candy choose from and for only $1.25 a box, you can really go wild here. There’s a lot of sweetness on this list so far, so it’s time we give sour stuff some play. Get ready to blast off with galactic-themed WarHeads flavors like Rocket Raspberry and Black Hole Cherry. The perfect pairing for a screening of Star Wars or Star Trek.

- SUPERPRETZEL Frozen Baked Soft Pretzel
-
Soft baked pretzels at home are life changing. This is what your summer movie night is missing. Everyone absolutely loves a soft pretzel at the movie theater, but no one’s making them at home! Okay, well some people are, or you wouldn’t find them in stores. But I can bet you’re not eating enough soft pretzels at home! Dollar Tree is here to fix that. These convenient frozen pretzels are ready to fill your home with a delicious aroma as you bake them up for your summer movie night.

- Starburst Assorted Original Freezer Pops
-
Freezer pops are a summer staple. Rightfully so. They’re easy to grab, fun to enjoy, and they’ll cool you right to your core. Starburst decided to enter the freezer pop game with their original flavors: orange, strawberry, cherry, and lemon. Get these at Dollar Tree if you’re in need of a cooling dessert that’ll save you from a muggy summer night. As with the Kool-Aid candy, these come in a box of 10 with four flavors. So who’s getting the short end of the stick?? My money is on strawberry, the obvious last-place Starburst flavor. (Don’t @ me!)
